Comfort and Joy

Comfort and joy. Isn't that what we all want? Comfort and Joy?

So many people live uncomfortably. We live in states of worry, fear, anxiety, and regret. We want comfort in where we are, what we're doing, and the decisions we're making.

We should take comfort in the fact that we're being taken care of. We should take comfort in the fact that we're not alone. We should take comfort in the fact that we don't know all the answers, but we know someone who does.

Lots of people have been talking about joy lately. People that have it. People that don't. People that want it. People that are pretending to have it. Many people are looking for joy in tangible things. Money, cars, homes, clothes, ect. Others are seeking joy in knowledge, fame, adventure, and dreams. True joy isn't found in those things.

It's Christmas time and we're all singing and searching for comfort and joy.

Maybe we should start searching in the right places. Maybe we should start being honest with ourselves. Maybe we should stop pretending.

Comfort.
Joy.

I hope you find it.

well said. i know i'm guilty of searching in the wrong places. true joy is definitely one of those things where, in order to really receive it from the Lord, sometimes you just have to just be still. i know dat's right.
