divide the sea

These guys are my friends. Or friends of friends. Or acquaintances. Something like that. Anyway, I like them a lot. Their music probably isn't something I would listen to everyday, but I absolutely appreciate it. I also very much appreciate the video (especially the robots). The lighting and colors are so perfect and dream-like. A guy named Micheal Dalton made it. I think I met him at a wedding once... but I don't really know him either. However, you should listen to Divide the Sea and watch videos made by Micheal Dalton. And go!

favorite thing

Cliff might get mad that I'm posting this... but it's okay because he loves me. And he's in Australia, so it's not like he can do anything about it. But seriously, I love this kid and I love this song. Perfection.

a reminder

Do not think that love, in order to be genuine, has to be extraordinary. What we need is to love without getting tired.
- Mother Teresa

My friend Adam took this picture while we were on our way to Macedonia. Isn't it beautiful?

I love: Baby Jenna

I've decided to start blogging about people I love. Yay!

I love Baby Jenna. We worked a ridiculous summer of camp together last year. On the first day I met her she came into my dorm with all the other girls... and then never left. We had picnics, listened to wonderful music, painted shoes, prayed, laughed, cried, ate lots of greek food and got sun burnt together. It was glorious. She has the biggest, sweetest, kindest heart. Her love for the Lord and for people is so very evident in her life. Jenna is coming to visit me in a few weeks and I couldn't be happier. I love her so much.

celebrity boyfriend: Dominic Monagham

Lost edition: round two
I actually have a much bigger crush on Dominic than Josh. Also, remember when he was a hobbit? Cute.

Inappropriate? Definitely.

celebrity boyfriend: Josh Holloway

It was inevitable.

Also, can we please talk about how I saw this ad while I was in Macedonia? Is this the most ridiculous ad or what?!

getting LOST

So, a few weeks ago I decided to start watching Lost. This was probably a terrible decision, but it was on netflix watch instantly and I was bored. Years ago I said I would watch it, but only if I could watch it a season at a time. Then I just got annoyed with all the die hard crazy as hell fans and decided to boycott. Sorry if I hated you for being a fan. Anyway, now I'm in the middle of season 3 and it's slightly ridiculous. I mean, I'm still sad Boone had to die. I need Juliette to leave (this is mostly because I hate that she smiles when she's sad). And I think the smoke monster is really dumb. I mean DUMB. However, I like that you get to see the good and bad side of everyone. I like that the show can shake up your ideas about morals.

So, there you go. I watch LOST. How do you feel about this?

- casket oh casket - lilies and sparrows
- my father's gun - elton john
- i shall not walk alone - blind boys of alabama
- another world - chris merrit
- a lament - the dirt and the flood
- good arms vs. bad arms - frightened rabbit

An Education

Thanks to Austrian Air I was able to watch An Education on the flight home, as opposed to New Moon, which I had watched on the flight over. It was incredible. I'm always a sucker for coming of age movies, especially if they involved fabulous outfits and handsome men.

what heights of love

My time in Macedonia was amazing, tiring, eye opening, exhausting, life changing, and precious. Yesterday I had a debrief with my friend Matt and it was nice to process all that happened last week. I will remember the ministry that took place. I will remember these faces. I will remember that changing the world sometimes starts with a smile and painting a fingernail. I will remember teeny tiny bathrooms and missing shower doors. I will remember 32847328974 games of banana grams. I will remember spending Easter walking the streets of Skopje, Macedonia. I will remember how privileged I am that God allowed me to be part of this trip.

I will remember these guys that walked beside me.

Hey, I'm leaving for Macedonia early tomorrow morning. I will not be blogging for then next 11ish days. I know you're so sad, but when I come back I'm sure I'll have lots of things to share! Oh, and lots of pictures.

Thank you all the the donations, sweet messages, and prayers. Please continue to pray for me and my team that we may encounter open doors and open hearts.
