sorry boutcha 09

To echo a little of what Baby Jenna said in a recent blog, I kind of hate new years resolutions. I would always rather make a list. If you break a resolution you're a failure. If you don't check something off a list... well, you scratch it out or do it later. Or you conveniently lose it. Here is a list of things I would like to do in twenty-ten:

1. Road trip to the Grand Canyon and make lots of stops along the way.

2. Take more pictures of my life. This might be difficult seeing as my camera recently broke. I'm going back to film. Holga time.

3. See my favorites. Andrea, Jenna, Sarah. We will take each other on dates, listen to welcome wagon and talk about how much we hate paper parties.

4. Do more designing of the invites, business cards, and such. Maybe just more art in general.

5. Become an illustrator and photoshop expert.

6. Be more aware of the people around me. God put them there for a reason.

7. Be more of a domestic goddess.

8. Read more books. I haven't read a single book during the month of December. Shame.

9. Be a better representation of love and grace and peace.

I kind of already wrote something like this, but whatev. The end. I would also like to be a better movie watcher and a better gift giver... but those will probably take more than a year. Oh, and I really want to go back to New Orleans.

PS- Today someone thought I was a high schooler and was "shocked" to hear that I was 24. Really?! Is it that shocking? I mean, I may look young... but I don't think I look like I'm 16. Rude. I guess it will be a good thing when I'm 30 though. Pft.

sorry boutcha 09'

A few things to come in twenty ten:
- Weddings of several people I really really love.
- More and more designing.
- Macedonia in April.
- Maybe a summer in Charleston with Baby Nick.
- Reunion with Andrea, Sarah and Baby Jenna. It WILL happen.
- Being bff with Erin.
- Road trip to New Mexico.
- Guatemala in September.
- Turning 25. Gross.
- Becoming a domestic goddess.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. I sure did, but unfortunately my camera broke so I was unable to document the festivities. Fortunately, I did acquire a holga during the holidays. Thank you Megan and Daniel. I love you both.

rejoice

There is a lot going on today and tomorrow and I probably should not even be posting a blog right now. I have movies to watch, food to bake and gifts to wrap (and actually finish making). I have friends and family to hang out with. However, Christmas isn't about any of those things. Christmas is about how God loved us so much, he sent his son as a baby to live and love and die for us. To teach us about redemption and peace and grace.
Rejoice with me.

just one little day

Merry Christmas Eve!

girl crush

My current favorite girl is Miss Emily Martin. Sometimes I want to be her. She's cute, has great style, and is an amazing artist. You've probably seen her on her artsy blog, but my favorite is her fashion blog.

Isn't she adorable?

no one laughs at God in a hospital

Conviction.
Today I was reminded of this song. Man, it hurts my heart. I don't even have the words to explain how this song makes me feel.

let us pause in lifes pleasures and count it's many tears.

This year has been good and bad... and despite the hard times, I'm glad I lived it. I've done things I had never done before and I've met people I can no longer live without. I've been really blessed.

Twenty ten is going to be a good one, with lots of love and lots of adventures.

maybe

Maybe I'm a lady gaga fan. She's a fruitcake, but I love it.

Maybe I wish I could pull off big hair.

Maybe I would still date my middle school crush. Maybe I'm going to be in a wedding with him in March. We'll see how it goes.

Maybe I've worn fuge apparel 3 days in a row. BUM.

Maybe I'm kind if obsessed with hymns and sometimes listen to them more than regular music.

Maybe I couldn't care less about global warming. Maybe I don't even believe it's real.

Maybe I like it when people give me nicknames.

Maybe I'm going to start eating Salmon once a week because it's my favorite.

Maybe I have really great friends... even though so many of them live so far away.

Maybe I went to an incredibly ridiculous Christmas parade last night. Maybe I kind of loved it.

hey girl, nice ugg boots.

I once had a conversation with my friend MeLissa about that one day a month when everyone is running low on clean clothes and we're forced to wear whatever is left on the floor of our closets. Overalls, striped tube socks, a strapless gown... you know. Well, I think maybe that day is coming around again. Yesterday I saw 3 (yes, 3) girls wearing soffe shorts paired with Ugg boots. I also saw someone wearing tights as pants. Today my sister was wearing a dress as a shirt.

This is unacceptable behavior. On the other hand, tie dye is almost always acceptable.

blog - denied

So, did everyone on the internet get a new blog banner in the last week? I don't know how to do that. I also don't know how to make a blog button. I don't even know how to edit this profile. Would anyone like to help me out or point me in the right direction?

I don't really know how to use computers or the internet.

Happy Thanksgiving!
My dad almost cut off his finger on a turkey knife. Way to go Terry.

sometimes I'm 14 years old

Today:

Yep. Sometimes I'm 14 and watch teeny bopper vampire movies with my friends. Now, don't hate... I watch real vampire movies too. I've seen Lost Boys, Last Man on Earth, Interview with a Vampire, Dracula, and Nosferatu. I'm legit. Probably too legit to quit.

Also, team Jacob. Edward annoys me.
