football, cupcakes, africa, apathy

This weekend I had several insightful and productive conversation, went shopping with some girls, got a pretty great indian headband, listened to my friend Adam speak about wind, water and coming home, baked homemade chocolate cupcakes with homemade peanut butter icing, and watched that good super bowl. 100 yards?! Are you kidding me?

Well, I had planned on blogging about something else... but it just didn't feel right. I watched this video and it felt right.

Honestly, the first time I watched it I felt really uncomfortable. Apathy is really easy and convenient, and sadly I find myself there a lot of the time. Being responsible and making a difference isn't easy. It takes a lot of faith and passion and love. I know this song and video have been around for a while, but I didn't see it until sometime around Christmas. I really don't know much about this girl... but I like that she says "Now that I have seen, I am responsible. Faith without deeds is dead."

I guess there is more I could say about all this... but I don't have the gift of beautiful words. This week should be a good one. I hope you get to learn something new. I hope you get to do something fun. I hope you get to love someone.

I dont know nothing about that Super Bowl.

But I do know about that good Adam.
And those good indian headbands.
And coming home.
And apathy.
They're all good, except for... well, you know.
