bringing a little mardi gras to dinner on the grounds

So, this Sunday my church is kickin it old school and having "dinner on the grounds". Hallelujah! Problem: I can't really cook. Allison do not mean about a casserole. However, I'm a decient baker. I make some mean chocolate peanut butter cupcakes. The cupcake is almost always my go-to dessert. It's easy, cute, and delicious. Sadly, someone is already bringing cupcakes. LAME. So, in honor of the season and the saints, I think I will make a king cake. I've never attempted a king cake... I mean, come on, I'm from Florida... but I will be this weekend. This is going to be another step in my quest to be a domestic goddess. Wish me luck!

Also, clearly I'm a ghost.

send me a king cake

I want to live in Louisiana (but NOT Denham Springs because the kids there are of the Devil). I've mentioned this before, but sometimes I think it might be the state for me... at least for a while. I'm a big fan of the crazy deep south. You just can't find culture like that anywhere else. Or kings cakes. Man, I love a king cake.
