So, some of you may know that I was supposed to be spending my summer in Panama City Beach working at a Christian summer camp called centrifuge. Well, in the last week all of that has been switched around. I will now be working at the mfuge/centrifuge combo camp in Jackson, Mississippi at Mississippi College. Now, most normal people would be disappointed if they went from working at Panama City Beach to Jackson. I guess I'm just not normal because I am so unbelievably happy. I worked there the summer of 07' and fell in love with the people, the city, the food, the music. I will be the Missions Mobilizer, which means I get to take youth out into the city of Jackson and serve the homeless, needy, hungry, and poor. We also get to minister to inner city children and youth. This is what I love to do.
Here are a few pictures I took in 2007, the last time I worked camp in Jackson. This is my heart.

Miss Allison, how old I gotta be to go to mfruge?
beautiful!
I saw you on the red velvet group on flickr then i clicked on your blog. so much fun! i worked centrifuge camp for 3 summers (2000, 2001, 2002) and my sister was actually on mfuge staff for a little while at Miss. College last summer. yay for meeting Christians on blogger and flickr!
I think you are being led in the direction you are meant to be...makes me excited for you!
Aw. Thanks Adriene. I really hope you're right!
in-fruge.
I wish I was going to be there this summer. I could take lots of Crestwood video for you and we could watch it in my room late at night and laugh.
Also we could sometimes switch places. You could go film sites and I would go deal with ridiculous church leaders all day at site.
This will be my 11th summer working at a Christian camp. We have lots of inner city kiddos, too. I totally understand what you are saying. It's hard to explain camp friends/life/lessons to people who have never done camp before. I think God created my heart to come alive in the summertime!
ps...are you loving the RVA class as much as I am?!
